Jack Phelps was born in Greenfield, MA, but grew up in West Hollywood, FL.  He is a self-taught outsider artist, who now resides in Edgewater, FL, and is known as the "The Hitchhiker".  While Jack has been creating various forms of art most of his life, he is now focusing on large abstracts of acrylics and other mixed media, which he calls "Hitchhiker Art".  Hitchhiker Art is the creative experience of the journeys from painting to painting.
